History

Minnesota Masterpiece Hall was founded in 2022, as an IRS public charity, to enhance arts, culture, and economic development for Winona and the Southeast Minnesota area. A $30 million endowment, already gifted, will help provide lower priced admissions and make attendance possible for all.

Vision

Minnesota Masterpiece Hall’s mission is to build communities through quality experiences by presenting art masterworks, internationally recognized concert artists, and inspirational education programs. This impressive visual and performing arts center will enhance and embrace the splendor of music and enrich the appreciation of art while nurturing society’s best hopes and visions for the future.

Art

Minnesota Masterpiece Hall will showcase a specially curated collection of masterwork paintings in stunning new galleries. On display will be outstanding examples of European masters, German Expressionism, and important American artists. Pablo Picasso, Paul Gauguin, Henri Matisse, Emil Nolde, Mary Cassatt, and Robert Duncanson are among the notable artists to be represented.

Music

A new concert hall, designed with exceptional acoustics, will host the world’s most celebrated concert artists and orchestras. These luminaries, along with the finest musicians from other genres, will be featured in the main concert series from May through October.

Education

Visionary educational programs will inspire learners of all ages. Unique opportunities to engage with artists and musicians through workshops, lectures, and master classes will be offered, often linking to current concerts and exhibitions. Dedicated spaces and surprising locations will enhance the learning experience.

Thank you!

With your generosity, Minnesota Masterpiece Hall will be able to directly support the Arts and Educational programing, and provide opportunities for creativity, critical thinking, and discovery.

Minnesota Masterpiece Hall is just one piece of the bigger picture for our community; by contributing to Minnesota Masterpiece Hall, you enhance the availability of the arts in Southeastern Minnesota and the surrounding area.
